When I read the quote by Maria Montessori about the greatest success for a teacher, I was able to relate to that quote. There are many times in a week that I feel like I have truly done something that made a difference because I saw a child "get it", that is why I continue to work with young children. I know that they need me and they are using the experiences I provide to learn how to be successful in life. I also then thought about the greatest success of an administrator is being able to see your staff when they finally "get it." I am so blessed to work with the children and to work with the adults that work with the children in the classroom.
When I read your quote by Lev Vygotsky; it really hit home to me in many ways. This was a powerful quote from Lev Vygotsky. This shows how children and people learn while doing things in collaboration (together) and in the future they will learn how to do things independently. It is important for educators to know that children learn from others to become more independently for themselves. Its also important to help and guide children and allow them to achieve things at their own pace with this guidance.
